Model Structuring and Architecture (MSA)

The results of the MSA work package and correlations between the data sets used can be found in our metadata catalog.

In order to achieve the overarching goal of this project - namely, intelligent and transparent planning and control of tomorrow’s traffic through simulation - a uniform data management approach suitable for this purpose is indispensable.

Therefore, important cross-sectional tasks will be taken over in WP MSA, which will enable the other work packages to make use of a uniform data model structure and architecture. Based on a systematic requirements analysis, a concept for a distributed, open system architecture will be developed, whose components will be centrally managed and coordinated via a “resource registry”. This concept is then implemented on the basis of a cloud infrastructure solution. The goal of the integration of the virtual and digital test bed is to achieve a “proof of concept”, although the transferability to other cities or use cases and the scalability of the digital and virtual test bed systems will also be considered.
